My teacher is what most people like to call, Fucking insane. But the things he does makes so much sense taht you can't do or say anything about it. Like the first few weeks, all he talked about is justifying ways of being a jackass, and it made total sense, so we couldn't refute him.

Lucky for me that I have a perfectly sane, republican teacher.

Mine is too. He's a totally free market economist, and can list you hundreds of reasons why free market is better than controlled economy, and its all true, and he's awesome at teaching, but if you miss a class, you're fucked.

Well, the fact that he doesnt' go by the book at all, and that all his tests are totally regurgitated information from his lectures. I haven't bought the book and I think I'm acing that class right now...
Here's an excerpt from my notes, on the Energy Crisis of 1970s:
Maximums cause shortages. In 1973 Nixon took off all the price controls he imposed except for oil and natural gas.
So there were shortages on oil and natural gas.
for Domestic petrolium they set at 8.00$ a barrel.
If the price is artificially low, buyers want to buy more, but Sellers want to sell less.
the Quantity demand increased, and the Quantity supply decreased.
We lost 1/5 of all domestic oil companies. So, to get oil, we had to buy from OPEC, that gave them a monopoly.
And OPEC made the prices $30.00.
Now we're importing half of the oil, 'cause we need the oil.
Gas Lines went a mile long, 'cause there was such a shortage.
In 1977, Rustici spent 75 dollars of paycheck
Odd even rationing
First number in your licsence plate, if its odd, you can only buy gas mon wed friday
If its even, you can only buy gas Tuesday thursday Sat.
People started retrading liscense plates.
It gets worse. The governments gave coupons.
People started to trade coupons, and so in response the gov't said NO!
You can't sell the gas if you don't have the coupons.
People started to syphon gas from other cars.
GOV'T MADE NO DRIVE SUNDAYS! w00t!
You now how to use the car on monday-saturday more often.
National Driving age now!! yeah! Make it 25. 'cause the government are smart.
Now, Traffic is less, but Gas is more consumed.
Gov't Are smart. 2 cars per family.
Gov't are smart. Tries to make oil from rocks. 80.00 a barrel.
They started to tear down Colorado.
They were stopped.
Gov't are smart. PROPOGANDA!! PSA's! Don't be fuelish!
Gov't are smart! Gov't started a law that, If the pipeline crosses the state boundary, then the whole gas line from start to finish, is interstate. this caused a MASSIVE SHORTAGE on other states, and MASSIVE SURPLUS'S on the other states.
Intrastate commerce(within state) Gov't can't touch it... YET! Max controls couldn't touch intrastate commerce. So, the pipelines were cut off at the state line.
Carter said we'll keep our house at 68 degrees, but you'll still die, 'cause the pipelines are gone.
Gov't is smart! They made sure your thermostat was at 68 degrees.
Gov't is smart! They made the boys and girls scouts have thermometers, and spy on the businesses.
Reagan killed price controls, and is awesome.
By the end of the first week. No gas lines, no shortages.
The energy Crisis was over in a week.
Freedom is the answer. Find out the question.
This is some of my joking ness added in this notes, but yeah, this is just one lecture, and he went insane.

I know what commuism is (remember, we had the discussion on this board!) I just had a brain fart.
And Gen's right, I'm ignorant. Especially in politics.
