It's the stay on topic game! It's a game when you have to stay on topic (oh the suspense! ) The next person to post is the topic we will focus on! It has to be a topic that everyone can discuss! Not just something Silos, Gen, Zaku, Kyle can. That means mage likes ass from dudes. Something that me and Tim can talk about as well! [glow=red,2,300][shadow=red,left,300][/shadow][/glow]

Ok. So, wait. The first person to post makes the topic? If so, how about hand drawn comics/art versus sprite comics/pixel art?

If you mean discussing them: sure! If you you mean making them: sure! Go ahead! Let's have another comic forum!

Discussing them.
For the most part, I like drawn comics. It gives you way more of a freedom. But spriting is harder, if you think about it. Sure, some people can't draw. But even people who can sprite (which is easy), making really good sprites, Like Zaku or that new Corvus guy, can be really challenging, and pays off.

Yeah, but then again, some people don't even have a scanner (like me) and have no choice but to make their comic with sprites. Plus, people can get very creative with sprite editing and can make some beautiful works of art (like Corvus).

If you aren't in the mood for discussion, go elsewhere. I don't wanna lose this game so quickly. Yeah, but then again, some people don't even have a scanner (like me) and have no choice but to make their comic with sprites. Plus, people can get very creative with sprite editing and can make some beautiful works of art (like Corvus). Yeah, like me. I have a scanner, but it's on my parent's computer, and I have problems inking my work so the lines are visible, as well as coloring my work. That's why a sprite. Overall, I think drawn comics out better. But my friend can make both really good anime art, as well as really good anime sprite from scratch.

Me? I'm no good at making sprites from scratch. Maybe 8-bit. I can't edit 16-bit or higher, but when it comes to 8-bit sprites, I am the king! But really, drawn comics are great. I agree with you on that one. But they're such a pain in the ass to make and get em into your computer.

Drawn comics in general are more regarded with respect than Sprite comics. If you wanna make a sprite comic, you'll have really really really work for your respect, and even then you won't get as much as you would if you put the same effort in a drawn comic. But Sprite comics are fun to read, if they don't make your eyes bleed, and they are very fun to make, 'cause they are so simple, and you can make 10 panels of sprite comics in the same time it takes to make 3-4 drawn panels.

Oh, but Nam it is indeed possible for your eyes to bleed from reading a drawn comic. I've seen one before. If I could actually remember where it was, I'd link it here.

I never said it wasn't, but it happens much less than sprite comics.

True, except when people attempt to draw with their mouse and it comes out like crap.
People don't usually have the guts, patience, or stupidity to make a drawn comic if they know the are bad. You really have to be good to publish it onto the internet. As you all know, any idiot can take sprites and slap em onto 2 toned backgrounds. Or worse, make bad recolors. Then they think they are funny. Soo...the drawn comic population seems better.

I can actually draw, but with a pencil and not a mouse. With mouse:SHIT! With pencil:Chibiness( )... Whenever I draw with a pencil, I draw chibi. If I had a scanner, then I would actually consider putting them up. I'd just have to make sure if it's okay enough to do so. Is this okay: I'm telling the reader that this is my first drawn comic, then Silos is saying I'm just trying to prove that I can draw, but I easily distract him with a cookie. If it sucks, oh well it's something I did out of boredom at school.

*clicks tongue and punches Mage*
Don't go too far off topic! Seems fine to me. Don't even continue that, it will branch off topic.
Chibi is pretty cool. It's things like that that make drawing better. So many different art styles! Pure Anime, Semi-Anime, based off of something else, American style, chibi, simple/basic style, and you can just create your own style! It's hard to do that with sprites.

Yeah, that makes drawn comics fun to read. There's all kinds of different styles.
