This is the game responsible for me not having any sleep for the last couple of days. This is the game I got a 360 for. This game will delay and destroy everything in my life. Oblivion will be nothing compared to what this game will do to my social life, and it is all worth it. PS3 has nothing on Gears, and Wii has nothing on Gears. Gears actually innovatated the shooter industry. That is something that is actually hard to accomplish. Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess; three games that I anticipate to get, are nothing compared to this game. If you do not believe me, find someone with a 360, make them buy the game, and play co-op with them. Then you will understand why I shit and pissed myself at the same time when I first saw the commercial on the TV for this game. Hilary Clinton and Jack Thomspon will have a cow when they see this. Expect a review eventually.

(Note/Remember that, before you even read my post, I'm a Nintendo Fanboy. We've been over this.)
Obviously, being the nerd who lives on the internet myself, I saw/heard of this game a while ago. Of course, "The Next Halo" was what I kept hearing and seeing. Now, not being a Microsoft fan, I didn't give it a next glance, really. I didn't care. Plus, I thought Halo 2 and 3 would be better.
Then, over time, I saw the game devlopment more. I had already decided the game probably had the most realistic graphics I've ever seen. I thought the concept and gameplay seemed intersting too. BUT, even if I had a 360, I would still never of bought it. Until that you just said. That it was co-op. That was something I had not known.
A lot of good games, with good graphics, etc, don't seem to have multiplayer. I'm happy to know this does. Now I just gotta find someone with a 360...

Supposedly, this game is supposed to be God-like concerning multplayer, and is one of the hardest games ever developed next to Ninja Gaiden.

One of the hardest games...? But can't you control the difficulty setting?

Yah, but just because it is the lowest difficulty setting, doesn't make it easy. The AI in the game match that of a human opponent. They use cover, tactics, flank you...

Human-like AI was something you didn't see often til' recently. It's good to see it put to good-use.
Games have been getting too easy nowadays anywho.

Yah, the first Halo was ridiculously easy. The Hunters were these big, scary fucks, but I beat them to death. I pistol-whipped them.

Well, pistol-whipping big, scary fucks may be easier for you than it is for the average-joe. We didn't all score big on your "Gravify me, Gen" test.
I'm actually very intersted in the game's story, the world it takes place in, and those man-eating monster things. The game has a very dark tone. Almost makes some parts of Halo seem bright and colorful.

Scarier than Doom, harder than Ninja Gaiden, newer innovation than Halo 2, and more mulitplayer than you can throw a book at.
The 360 has a winner.

Lemme guess where this conversation's heading.
This game makes the 360 beat the PS3 and Wii, correct?

Maybe for a couple of quarters. Then batter games will be coming out, like Halo Wars, a strategy-based Halo game. Killzone 2 is something to look forward too, and who knows? Mario Galaxy could prove its worth.

I thought I had heard that, originally, Halo was going to BE a strategy game, instead of a first person shooter.
Anywho, what you're saying is, GoW will be the best [next-gen] game on the market, until those games come out? I'd pretty much agree with you.

Well, we will have to see. If any of them are flops like Sonic Heroes...
But I mean, it will be hard, really hard, to beat something like Gears of War.

Oh god...don't even say "Sonic Heroes." I REALLY need to sell that soon...the very rotting force from it being in my basement is driving me insane..
Excuse me for sounding stupid, but, isn't this game out already? Or not yet?

Yah, released November 7th. Pity I spent my money on Splinter Cell: Double Agent. That was a complete waste.
