Gen, you're missing the point. It's not meant for smart people. It's meant for the younger players. Pokemon is supposed to introduce the RPG elements to them. Nintendo tries to give them the idea that most RPGs out there will set you on a quest to find a number of artifacts, stones, etc. They're repetetive because they want all the players to have that same experience.

No, Mage, you are missing the point. What is the point behind every freaking thing that Nintendo has released? Innovation. Pokemon has been the same for the last ten or so years, and have absolutely nothing new to it. Sure, newer games allow you to run, get new Pokemon and such, but come the fuck on.
If a kid wants to get introduced to RPG elements, give them a Final Fantasy game, at least something challenging. RPG games are all about the story most of the time. Most of the greatest stories in games are from RPGs. Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, KOTOR, etc. Pokemon is the same freaking thing again, and again, and again, and again. Nothing new. Nothing innovative. Repetitive.

The gameboy games are fine, but they really should've done something about those gamecube games. Its like, OMGZORZ 3d graphics, and look! The pokemon don't actually touch each other! INNOVATION!!!

God, those games were bad! They could've at least used sound effects other than the Gameboy battle cries!

OMGZORZ 3d graphics, and look! The pokemon don't actually touch each other! INNOVATION!!! That made me laugh. And Mage... Just... Shut up. Gen has a point. Pokemon is repetitive. There are better RPGs out there, and Diamond/Pearl looks like it should have been made for the N-gage, not the DS. It's another one of Nintendo's stupid mistakes.

The sad thing is, Cutter, the N-Gage is too good for Diamond/Pearl.

You're right.
Maybe Pokemon Battle Revolution won't be as disappointing. At least in that game the Pokemon touch each other.

At least in that game the Pokemon touch each other. Wanna run that by me one more time, and not make it sound like you are into bestiality?
