I'm watching the video laughing at this kid. The only thing I agree with is that the PS3 has awsome graphics. I got to try one out at Wal-Mart, and I was purely amazed. I was surely certain that this was about to win the console war. Just as I imagined paying $600 for this gem, it crashed... after 10 whole minutes of gameplay. My opinion was set after that moment, while I'm STILL waiting for ANY store to restock on Wiis that aren't preordered already. Those Wiis are selling like crazy! Just like the DS is selling more than the PSP!

If you ment "you mean PS3", then no, there's no way in hell I'm buying a PS3, for a multitude of reasons. I plan to pick up a PS2 and all the games I missed out on eventually.

yeah, I think I was half asleep when writing that... Anyway, get a ps2 if you don't have one already.
And this kid... he bores me in all honesty. He's not even making nonsensical rantings in a funny way... so its just kind of stupid, stupid enough that I don't even want to bother clicking the links for why the ps3 is oh so much better than the wii, even though it is... or at least will be once good games come out. Its just kinda stupid to rant about it.

PS3 sucks. Hard.
The graphics of the PS3 are nothing special. Gears of War easily has better graphics than Resistance: Fall of Man. And when you compare a game both systems have, such as Armored Core 4, the dust effects seem slightly better on PS3, but the ACs seem more jagged and the overall quality of graphics isn't as good as the 360's Armored Core 4.
The games for PS3 as of now are not the good either. The only good game Sony has released recently is God of War II, which is on the PS2.
360 has Gears of War, Chromehounds, FEAR, Prey, Crackdown and other games out right now. Enchanted Arms, Armored Core 4, and Oblivion are also available for the PS3, but X-Box Live is better than Sony's online services. This means easier downloads and better mulitplayer. Also, I am pretty sure the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion is only available to PC and 360 owners, but I am not 100% sure of that.
Wii has the innovative aspect to it. Despite the lack of games compared to 360, the innovation allows for fun. However, I do get annoyed at the fact that we are in the next-gen era of gaming, and the new Zelda game for Wii has little to no voice acting. I understand that Nintendo could be aiming for the classic Zelda formula, but... Come the fuck on. Link doesn't have to talk, but it could be nice for NPCs to talk. I like listening to the characters talk, so I don't have to ride the subtitles. Then again, with no voices for characters, this allows for more content to be put into the game. So, I don't really know the thinking behind not including voice-acting in Zelda.

Gen's right. PS3 sucks. And it's no competition for Wii and 360.
The main problem is the lack of good games for the PS3. Basically, there are close to none at the moment. And popular exclusive titles (Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4) which were coming out for the PS3 are now becoming multi platform. Companies notice that making games for the PS3 is a bad buisness decision at the moment. I'm not saying that no good games are coming out in the future, but for now, Wii and 360 are way more popular, and are overall better.
Sony has met its demise. We can only wait and watch if they can get themselves out of this one.

Gen the only reason the graphics are so bad in comparison to the 360 is because all games for the PS3 are hastily made ports of other games. No game has been made for it yet which actually tries to use the graphical engine properly. We just need to give it time.

Resistance: Fall of Man isn't a port. It was developed by Insomniac Games, an American based company.
After all the shit Sony talked, I expected much better from them with release games. They gave us a shitty Gundam game, a sub-par Genji game, and the average Resistance: Fall of Man.

Give it time. All the good games. You know, the ones that matter, are still under development.

Its a cold day in hell when I defend the Ps3, but I'm doing it... But first and foremost, I want to say that the PS3 does in fact suck... right now, but it has got the potential that Sony is just learning about, so it is going to win just through sheer specs. PS3 sucks. Okay, Graphics were never a big thing for me, but the fact remains that the games coming out for ps3 look damn awesome. The Overall quality of graphics could probably be explained by the firmware sucking ass, which can be fixed by firmware upgrades, which, if you didn't know this, Sony loves to do. And... how much longer has the 360 been out? And how many titles did the Ps2 have when the gamecube and Xbox came out? A hell of a lot more than the 360 has right now when up against the PS3 and Wii. And a lot of the games suck. And nearly all the games you mentioned I got mixed reviews for when I was working for Gamestop. Basically, because of the hardware, teh PS3 will completely destroy the other two consoles in the long run. Software problems are already being fixed and will continue to get fixed as time goes on. So, sooner or later, they're going to be able to fully capitalize on the Blu Ray's omgwtf memory capacity and all the other omgwtf specs of the Ps3. Plus it can also be a 600 dollar linux computer with parts taht you would be spending 2000+ dollars to get...so if all else fails, its a cheap computer.
