This is actually the first year in a long while we actually had a white Christmas.
Our winters usually last from January to April.

The weather's been all weird. Cooler summer and warmer winter. We actually had rain the 24th, which wasn't normal for this time of year, but not impossible either. At least it left enough snow for Christmas, but it certainly made the roads treacherous when it froze back over.

There's one thing I won't miss about school. The walks. Those used to be the thing aobut winter I dreaded the most. It didn't help that we had a lot of strays where we used to live either. I was always so paranoid. Winter's deep snow and slipper ice only made these walks worse for me.

It's something I was fairly used to grades 6-9 for me, then I moved somewhere where I had to bus... which is terrifying on it's own as well. I've been in two winter bus accidents, one in where we slid into a ditch and the other was a guy in a pick-up going too fast on an icy road to stop on time. Personally, I'd take the walking over that.
