Brad paused as he passed by the couch that was situated in the rec room, doing a double take to make sure he'd seen correctly. It appeared that all the cushions and pillows had been removed and piled up into a fort in front of it. Nearly face-palming as he sighed, he walked over to it, knowing full well who would be in there. "Ash, that's you in there isn't it?" He asked, studying it's construction.
A young girl peered out from behind the cushions, what appeared to be a metal colander pilfered from the kitchen resting haphazard on her head like a make-shift helmet while she clung to a large wrench that was undoubtedly his, she seeming ready to brandish it like a weapon at moments notice, "...it might be."
"...What are you doing in there?" Brad asked, kneeling down so he could be at eye level with her.
Ashleigh glanced around the room in a jumpy way, studying every shadow, "I'm protecting myself from the zombies so they don't eat my brain matters."
"You've been watching late night movies again, haven't you," Brad sighed, knowing that this phase would probably last for the better part of the week.
"Nooooo....of course not," Ashleigh lied before scrutinizing him, "...how do I know you're not just a zombie disguised as Brad?"
Brad face-palmed, barely holding back his groan. It would be a long week indeed. "You're absolutely unbelievable... I'm not a zombie," Brad replied.
"Aha! Thats what you want me to think so I'll let my guard down and you can munch on my sweet brain meats! Well, you can't fool me!" Ashleigh claimed, taking a swing at him with the wrench.
Brad ducked her swing and grabbed hold of the wrench, dragging her out of the fort and pinning her down before she could keep on going and wind up damaging something, Ashleigh flailing while screaming. Brad glanced up as he heard the door hiss open, catching sight of Damien peering inquisitively into the room to see what the trouble was. "...Whats going on in here?" Damien asked upon taking in the scene.
"She was watching B-Movies again last night," Brad explained.
"Lies!" Ashleigh shouted, somewhat muffled being pinned as she was, "He's really a zombie in disguise. Quick, kill it with fire!"
Damien sighed, massaging his temples, "Rosalina will know how to get her calmed down."
Ashleigh freed up an arm, pointing accusingly at him, "You're working for the zombies, aren't you? Can't hide it from me!"
"Alright you, lets go pay Rosalina a little visit," Brad claimed, getting her slung over his shoulder before leaving the room. Ashleigh kicked and flailed all the while, trying to free herself from his grasp, "You'll never take me alive!"
Damien shook is head with a sigh, continuing for the bridge to bring up a scan of the habitable planets nearby that would allow them to stop for supplies.
