The two continue to explore the floating lands, observing everything they see around them, Lila with a little more excitement than Kayman, who just stood in the background placing his hand on nearly every map and sign unoccupied by the inhabitants and pulling out holographic copies which disappear into the palm of his hand, while observing the spirits of the rulers incharge of the planet mainly for the sake of clerifying how well everyone is being treated.

There appears to be some turmoil and reluctance among the current rulers, one in particular seemed annoyed and angered over something.
Mira checked in on her mother to let her know she had returned safely and to find out how affairs were going currently. "Any word from the other nobles?" She asked.
Her mother sighed, resting the papers she had been attending to, "They are a bit wary of your father's choice, but they will not dispute it... though Aidan has tried to turn them against you."
"His actions will affect me none," Mira said, knowing full well that he could try and wouldn't succeed, "You should rest mother, you've done far too much today. Anything else that need attending to I will take care of."
Her mother studied her a moment before smiling, getting up to leave with the intention of spending some time in the gardens, "You will do well, I'm sure."

Kayman became aware of the high amount of anger from one of the nobles; he would most likely have to keep a spiritual awareness on this noble in case he would try anything that would endanger the new ruler.
Lila was too busy sniffing flowers from a nearby nursery to notice Kayman's appearent interest in the family dilemma going on from far away.

Mira glanced up from the papers her mother had left as the door to the room was slammed open, finding a rather Irate Aidan glaring at her. She paused, giving a sweet smile, "Ah... I see that you've just found out that you were truly the puppet when you assumed yourself to be the puppet-master, have you?"
"You've had them all wrapped around your little finger for a while now. I suppose that's why father chose you as well, by warping him to your will as well. By rights, I should have inherited the throne," he ranted, quite annoyed with her.
"And yet you still refuse to see that its this childish temper of yours that has denied you that birth-right. Foolish as ever," Mira sighed, "You just don't wish to accept the fact that all your scheming was for naught."
Aidan sneered, starting towards the desk and slamming his fists down upon it, "Don't think this ends here little sister, I will be the one to take charge."
"You can try," Mira said, staring up at him with a solemn expression, "I did not ask for this, though I will do my duty. If you should find way to control that temper and greed of yours, then perhaps I will abdicate in your favour, but until then, brother, you will have nothing to do with the affairs of the kingdom lest you bring it to ruin."
Aidan glower at her before turning to storm from the room, kicking a chair out of his way in the process. She knew that this would be troublesome, but she would have to try and be as diplomatic as possible. He would not be able to do anything at the moment, but no doubt she would have to station a better guard in her quarters so as not to find her throat slit in her sleep.

Lila looks over to Kayman while holding a bouquet of flowers, "Aren't these pretty!? I should make a garden in my room to hold them.
Kayman glares at the flowers in annoyance, "How did you get those!? We don't have the currency from this planet!"
"Simple," Lila then rubs her head under Kayman's chin while purring, "I played cute...!"
Kayman muffles an annoyed grunt before backing away from here, "Fine, just don't try to blow our cover, otherwise it won't be the commoners here who'll be bombarding us with demands."
He then continues through the city, leaving Lila to huff in annoyance before disappearing in a flash of light to find a place to put her new toys.

Mira paused by her father's room after having dealt with the law revisions that had need overseeing and to be signed, clutching the amulet that now hung around her neck as she stared into the empty space. They would be giving word on his passing to the people shortly and when the funeral rites were held later, the gates would be opened to the public so that they could pay their respects to the deceased king. The next morning would oversee her anointment to the throne. She knew that her brother Nicholas would have been more suited to rule than she, but he had made it known that he wanted nothing to do with it. She could understand his reasoning. There would be much to be taken care of and it often impeded on one's freedom, but the good of the people was more important that her enjoyment. After a moment, she turned away from the empty room to go ready herself in her room for the events to take place later that night, serving hands already rushing about to get things into place while her brother Darius saw to it that the messengers took word of their king's fate out among them.

Kayman continues his observation of the planet, deciding to spend the rest of the day here before deciding to head back to Cygaxia with his report of the planet's life and culture.

Mira stood solemnly beside her mother and six brothers, the royal guard keeping the crowd that had come to the palace in order as the funeral pyre was set ablaze. Aidan's temper seemed to have iced a bit as he watched with a blank expression. As put off as he was about his little sister's ascension, he had still been fond of their father.
While the people came and left, the Siamendes family stood watch until the flames had burned themselves out. The Magi that had been overseeing the pyre gathered up the remaining ashes to be taken and buried in the hall of their previous fathers and mothers, those that had held the throne before the Siamendes family line. It was only then that her family dispersed to deal with what had to be dealt with while Mira trudged wearily to her rooms to sleep.
The following morning, she was awoken before the sun had a chance to rise in the sky, fussed over and trimmed up to look her best for the later ceremonies. By the time she arrived at the dais upon which the Magi council were waiting to bless her in, she was exhausted and wanting nothing more but to rest in her mother's gardens and escape from all the madness for a short while at least.

A man stood outside the entrance of the palace. He appeared to be a year from adolescence, wearing a strange, black, hooded monk cloak that hid everything but the lower half of his face.
He had been watching everything go on since last night with minor interest, but remained unseen by everyone. He appeared to have been wandering around the palace gates for some time, never tired, exhausted, or in need of food and rest. His reason for staying and spying on the entire palace is a complete mystery.

After the Magi had gone about the ceremony for her swearing in, Mira bowed her head slightly to the crowd that was gathered to watch, having been completely silent up until then. She watched over them with a slightly solemn expression as she addressed them, still coping with the rapid turn of events, "Though I may be young, I swear that I will do my utmost to continue my father's legacy and lead us into an age of prosperity. While I am not busy attending to affairs of the state, I will devote myself to researching the turmoil that tears apart the unsaved lands below us and to hopefully find a solution that will put an end to it."

The cloaked man watches from the far back of the crowd at the speech being given, observing the flowing spirits that could not be seen by anyone else. He seems to be studying the amount of surprised, concerned and perhaps angered spirits that secretedly burned within their hearts and minds, observing how they behave when a new ruler is put on the throne.

There is some reservation about such a young leader being chosen, but for the most part she has the support of quite a few who had come to know her from her travels into the cities over the years. The crowd hovered with silent murmurs at first, a few starting up a cheer after a moment that others joined in with. Mira brightened at this, having been worried that her people wouldn't have accepted her as the new sovereign and was heartened to see that most would not let her the fact that she was barely of age dissuade them from understanding that she would do her best for the good of everyone.

The cloaked figure watches some more before turning to head back into the city, seeming satisfied that everything will be under control.

Mira stepped down from the dais with help from one of the nearby soldiers so that she could mingle among the people and give them the chance to discuss what they might with her.

The man continues to wander the city a while before taking a break at a nearby park, sitting under a tree and making some notes in a holographic screen hovering a few inches above his hand.
