I don't want to seem like a copycat, but anyways ^^;
Wolf
Upon a Winter's night so clear, I heard a cry that sounds so dear, The snow, it falls gently on the ground, All I can hear is this one sound.
I open the curtains and outside I look, Out in the trees by the babbling brook, Two yellow eyes peer out at me, They seem to be staring, calling out, Beckoning.
I leave the window and step quietly towards the door, I walk outside and look some more, This wolf, it doesn't seem to mind, Whether it is cold and dark outside.
Her eyes were glowing in the moon light, As yellow as the sun, Her fur so soft, And as gray as a cloud on a rainy day, Yet she calls, tells, howls, You are my wolf sister and I am yours.

I have over 10 peoms I could put up...Don't think I'd do it in one day though... Anyways, this one was for a Remembrance Day contest held by the Royal Canadian Legion. I cam in second place in my division ^^;
Remember Us
Among the crosses the poppies grow, Where we lie from long ago. Our lives sacrificed, For freedom won. Remember us all, Don't forget anyone.
The sound of silence, It echoes round. The fighting over, We lie in the ground.
Tell your children, Let them know. How we fought bravely, So long ago.
Tell them how we reclaimed peace, How we saved lives. Tell them how we did it for freedom, Don't say it with any sighs.
Among the crosses the poppies grow, Where we lie from long ago. Our lives sacrificed, For freedom won. Remember us all, Never forget anyone.

Found it. I can remember exactly when I did this one too. It was grade 6 as part of our journal assignment ^^;
Birds in my Backyard
Swift, swift, swift go the birds in my backyard, the birds that used to be there are no more.
The swing in my backyard is swinging to and fro silently in the wind with no birds in my backyard.
The swing now broken no laughter fills the air, the sweet song of birds is gone,the love and happiness too.
Swift, swift, swift go the birds in my backyard, the birds that used to be there are no more.

I can't make poems are any of that stuff. I'm a conservative Catholic man. It's impossible. Cool stuff though.
