Aftermath of the War
During the war of Arcadia and Demon, the Resistance forces were left in the dark, having no idea what they should do. Though painful to watch, the only option they had was to watch and hope for the best. Tragic that Arcadia no longer existed after the war ended, it didn't stop Ciel from dreaming of a future of peace. She and the Resistance members moved to Area Zero, which had been turned into a city of mixes between future and past.
Approximately 10 years after the war, a new defense force formed called "Guardian". Lead by Ciel, they would hover over the currently renewing world and montior the situation of certain cities they considered to be peaceful and carefree. Any reported desturbence is quickly dealt with by some of their more highly advanced hybrid of human and reploid combinations. Though powerful, it wasn't enough to protect the world from everything.
Seperation of Evil
One day, Ciel and her team were called out to a mysterious forest where they came across fragments of Ragnarok, the once most feared space weapon in history. Fearing that the dark nations would get their hands on the remains of Ragnarok and turn it into something more deadly than what Weil had cooked up, she and her team had decided to take the fragments somewhere secluded to study.
Not long after moving to a lesser known site, one of Ciel's study members got to close to one of the fragments and went berserk, destroying the team and running off with the fragment that caused the whole thing. Ciel is nowhere to be found.
Recovery of Biometals
The event of Ciel's disappearance and the destruction of her team hit the Guardian team hard. Appointing Ciel's sister, Prarie as their new commander for the duration of her disapppearance, they began search and rescue operation that would take another 10 or so years to complete. During that time, they learned from scattered datas of Ciel's voice logs about the fragments of Ragnarok and how she plans on making sure they don't fall into the wrong hands.
There were instructions on how to locate some of the fragments she re-named "Biometals". Unfortunatly, due to damage of the voice logs, they only managed to locate two of the six metals she considered safe to use, Model X and Model Z.
One of them, Model Z, wound up in the hands of a former Hunter-turned-express manager named Giro. It was unknown as to how he found Model Z and managed to control its powers, but through him, the Guardians learned just how the metals worked.
Each Biometal carried the memory and battle data of the heroes who had helped quell evil in the past. Should the metals choose who will control them, the wielder has the ability to take on their armor and memorize battle skills as if they had known them throughout their lives. It is unknown as to whether they actually carry the souls of the heroes they potray.
