Indirect. I know how those work.

Combat - There are two types of combat. Direct and Indirect. Direct - Direct combat involves moving adjacent to an enemy unit, and firing on it. After you do your full damage, the enemy will fire back with what it has left, counter-attacking. Attacking the enemy first is called "first strike". Remember, the enemy will only counter-attack with what units it has left, so if you completely destory the unit, there will be no counter attack. Indirect - Long Range Combat. For indirect combat, the unit must be a certain distance away to fire, and cannot move and fire on the same turn, but there will be no counterattack. This is the safest way to fight, however, if an enemy attacks you, you will also not be able to counter-attack. All direct units are good against indirect units (except land units against a battleship). It is vital to protect your indirect units.

And i told you about capturing, and early game, thats what you should do first. and Buying an artillery is stupid early game because you have no one to protect it.

Yep, first thing that everyone does is buy infantry. Then usually something to kill infantry, and other things.
