Meh. Those vacuum-like robots would probably creep up on me when I'm sleeping or something and scare the hell out of me.
Same thing with hi-tech TVs with TiVo that can "learn" what you like and record them. What if they also "learn" what time you go to bed? What if they "learn" to keep turning on in the middle of the night to keep you awake, to weaken us?!
ZOMGZOMGZOMGZOMG ROBOT TAKE OVER.

Don't worry, Kyle. Fox news will save us from the robot conspiracy with their sensationalist reporting.

Everything I learn to do or not to do when it comes to a sci-fi or supernatural situation comes from Twilight Zone episodes. EDIT: Speaking of the fox news reporting, (and now that I think about it, this could've been what you were talking about), and on the topic of what this world's coming to in the future....the future is not as Sci-Fi as we'd think. Rather than robots and galactic warfare, we have funnier and more absurd things. Like people who post anonymously on the internet being considered a "group of terrorists," people crying because their Myspace accounts got hacked, and news reporters saying stupid things. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxWgRY1I_SIEpic lulz indeed, Mr. News Reporter. Epic freakin' lulz.

I meant the name of a specific news station.
And yes, relevant news is nice.

BBC world news. The British tell it like it is.

Actually, that "anonymous" report was what got me to bring Fox news up. I laughed so hard my gut hurt when I watched it. That guy's girlfriend broke up with him! HAHAHAHAHA!
I love the way that the old lady labels them as terrorists, then it instantly shows footage of a van exploding. She brought a dog! Oh, shit, you guys! Everyone knows that internet cyber-terrorists hate dogs!
And then of course the reporter's attempt at explaining what "lulz" is.
The best part? "Anonymous" raided the Fox news forums shortly after the Youtube video proved that the report was real.

Yeah, that was hilarious. "After the incident, she recently bought a new home security system, a phone tracking device...and DOG!" Unless the dog is trained for combat, that dog isn't going to do anything against a potential TERRORIST.
Not only was the "lulz" thing funny and strange....but it didn't have anything to do with the actual report, did it? Maybe I didn't catch it, but that seemed completely off-topic.

Apparently that idiot on Myspace doesn't know what phishing is.
I believe that they were trying to find a source for "Anonymous' " cyber-terrorism. Fortunately, they had an ex-hacker on their team to identify "lulz" as the source. Brilliant!

I laughed at the ruin the harry potter book. Thats funny when that stupid book series has become so obsessed over that this deed would be put up along with death threats. Who cares!? It's a book about a British kid!

Personally, aside from the cliche, over-used story themes, and the fact it was the same stuff over and over, HP isn't that bad. It's just horribly overrated. Dune is still by far my favorite book series.
If people don't want HP spoilers, they shouldn't be so stupid so as to go on ANY website at all. They shouldn't even access the internet. It's their fault, not the spoiling people.
