I've heard of it. Isn't then GBA version the game with that sun-detector crap on it, to make sure kids are playing outside? And....y'know...killing vampires?
EDIT: Screw it, that's Boktai. Completely different game, but the word "sun" drove my attention to it. I remember Golden Sun. I played a ROM of it once...didn't get far at all. I get bored with ROMs..

How does a sun detector kill vampires? Wouldn't it tell you if the sun is out? Which I'm pretty sure you would know if it was or not.

I didn't design the game. The game cartridge had a UV-ray sensor on it, because there were some puzzles and/or battles against vampires where (gasp!) kids would have to play outside.

One of the main perks of Golden Sun is the Djinn. Djinn have three modes: set, standby, and recovery. You equip the Djinn to your characters and effects take place.
Set: Will increase stats based on Djinni(the singular word for Djinn), and sometimes change you class and psynergy, which adds a bit of variety if you don't align everyone with their specific element. In battle, the character can unleash their equiped set Djinn for an attack, heal, whatever that particular Djinni does. After being unleashed or when told, the Djinn are set to Standby.
Standby: The Djinni is equipped, but not causing any effect whatsoever. How is this good? when Djinn are on Standby, they can be used to summon. The more standby Djinn you have, the more powerful your summons will be. After being used to summon, they switch to recovery. You can also just switch them back to set.
Recovery: They pretty much sit there to recover. Once they do, they'll be set again. Note, that no two Djinn on one character will recover at the same time. Only one per turn. There is no way to determine the order of which one recovers first though.(At least, due to my knowledge.)
With frequent use of psynergy, djinn, and summons, you can find a LOT of variety in your party.
