I wonder who didn't see the RPG nerd making a topic about Final Fantasy.
I just got my hands on FF XII and FF III. I'm enjoying both games. (Mostly XII though.) Comments on this series?

Real late on this one, Mage. We already had a discussion of Final Fantasy a long, long time ago.
The series needs to die, and the storylines are more repetitive than Ellen Degeneres' jokes.

The first few were good. VII was good. That's pretty much it. Gen's right. The series is being more milked out than the Mario Parties.

I'll admit, they are getting repetitive, and some are cliche'd. (FF III just screams that one out) The main treat is usually the character development however. I mean FF XII lets you make ANYTHING out of your characters using the license system, and the Gambit system lets you design your party members' AI. That's probably the best customization I've ever seen in an FF game. If there's one game I have to bash though, it'll be FF X-2. That one makes babies cry and perverts masturbate.

You're implying something, I just know it.

Mage, why do you even try? Especially trying to be funny. Just don't do it. It's like suicide to you.

Mage I'm tempted to ban you because 10-2 is one of my favorites.

Sorry about the comment, but when I heard that square was releasing a sequal for FF X, I expected something better. I was looking forward to another game with the same battle system and the return of the Sphere Grid. Instead I just got yet another "average" game. The ATB's been used too much in the series and the customization was only one step up from FF V's.

But its the only non linear FF game. So I happen to really like the open endedness it gives.

Touche'. Tough I do appreciate the revival of the job class system in this game. No matter how many times it's used, that one can never get old. Besides, if they hadn't, X-2 would be really really bland.
Has anyone bought, or thought about buying Final Fantasy XII? It's a fairly good game that's clearly different than all the rest. I got the Collector's Edition, but it's not all that better. It just comes with a bonus DVD and a holographic tin case.

If I had a choice between Final Fantasy XII and Sneak King, I would get Sneak King, which I did. You just can't beat that shit.

I already knew your opinion from the start Gen. If I were to get a 360, I would get it too, but lets try to stay on topic here.
