Yeah that's a problem :/ Not really any way I can get around that, though.

Hey, visiting a friend's, so I can use his computer.
I was actually planning on asking about why we never hear anything of Olivia's family, but the Game Plan flash shut me up. :/
It also felt like these topics were meant to be read in order from top to bottom by way of the links. That's pretty much the order I read them in, but I kind of get the feeling you meant to make them accessible in certain orders, anyways, just couldn't figure it out. Or maybe you didn't, but that's what it certainly seemed like.

As explained in the description:
Horizontally, you can read the conversations in any order but the one called "Game Plan" [the one that's huge and doesn't end with a Back button] is supposed to be read last.
Vertically, you're supposed to read from top to bottom. I hoped people would be able to catch on because I connected them with lines.
I wanted to make it so that having a conversation would "unlock" the one under it, but didn't know enough about Flash to do that. I'll definitely try next time.

I came back here on a whim and I'm really glad to see this thread - wasn't expecting Gen of all people to return, and I had somehow completely missed the two Flash comics. I love how even however many years since the forum was started, it just takes a little thing like this to bring everyone back together, if only for a short time.
Your comic is fantastic and there really isn't much I can say that other people haven't already said, or said in a more insightful manner. Starting and maintaining a comic takes a lot of effort and the fact that you've kept it up this long shows dedication. I'm especially glad to see that you're using Flash every now and then, and that you've got a natural intuition for animation. It's also great to see how your art has changed over the past few years - inspirational, even. I think you've always had a knack for cartooning and composition and you've continued to refine that ever since you started.
I've been out of contact with you for so long that I can't really say anything non-trivial without it sounding completely impersonal, but keep going and become an awesome artist. If anything, if you plan to go to an art school I'd recommend doing tons of anatomy studies and joining a serious art community like conceptart, and just in general broadening your horizons and setting the bar higher and higher over time.
Also, I owe you some fanart.

Thanks Cutter. Great to hear from you again.
Thank you for all the compliments. As you'd imagine I never really look at my comic and think "Yeah this is some fantastic stuff." On the contrary. But hearing you guys say this kind of stuff does very much boost my morale and at least make me admit that my growth over time is something to be proud of.
I don't want to be a lame sap but you guys probably don't get how much your posts in this thread have made me giddy as....well, a 10 year old boy. Obviously I get positive feedback from my parents [durrrr] and some kids from school once in a while but for some reason, maybe because of my age back then, hearing it from you guys means more than any of them.
If you're interested and have time, I'm sure that fanart would be awesome.

Just popping in to say I've been reading the comic and keeping up ever since I saw it. I have it favorited on my Wii, actually. I check it ever Tuesday along with Awkward Zombie and Brawl in the Family.
And as a bit of reassuring praise/criticism, I may as well note that while it is fairly good, it's still not quite as good as some other comics. But that's okay, because it means there's room for improvement. As long as you, the artist know how to improve, you'll have a better time adressing the issues that bother you. Or at the very least, you seem to be concerned with fixing them at all. I know too many artists who can do much better than they're currently doing, but never do any better because they're already satisfied with people commenting about how their stuff is the best stuff ever already, when there are clearly some flaws that could be helped.
I'm glad to know that you're not like those people, and you do want to improve. I can actually see the difference between the first few pages and the newer ones. Although that could be just the colors talking, but I digress.

Thanks Mage.
Trust me, I'm not the type of person at all to get over-confident and comfortable with my work. I probably have the lowest opinion of each page's quality than anyone, and I have several friends to remind me of when I produce mediocre work.
The good news is I do genuinely think every chapter has gotten better than the last in terms of art and writing.
And I honestly think how you worded that is an understatement. Color page or not, the difference between the first few pages and the latest stuff is pretty tremendous. Or maybe I just know every little difference because I'm the artist.
The other good news is that I can already feel that the next arc we're going into is going to be even better and more interesting than what we're leaving now. I'm still goin' on up here.

You know, there was something about John that's been bugging me for the last couple comics, that I could never pinpoint. Until I recently started watching Gurren Lagann again. (I'm only on Episode 13, so easy on the spoilers.) This guy. John kind of makes me think of this guy for some reason. They aren't really that alike, and even the looks are only somewhat similar, but still. I finally found out why John's been sticking out for me lately. Not really a feedback or critique, just something random I felt like pointing out. It's been a while since we've gotten to have that kind of talk here.

Hahaha, I never thought of that. I really don't think they're that similar, besides the blonde hair and enthusiasm. John doesn't get angry like Kittan does.
I've watched every Lagann episode like a million times, by the by.

Yeah, I'm still getting into it. Really cool show so far. Except Netflix skipping episode 8 and going right into 9 is one of the worst things ever. Can you name a bigger spoiler?

Jesus, that sucks...
Still stick around for the rest of the series though.

At least I got to watch it on Youtube, but the impact was kind of lost since I already saw episodes 9 and 10 before it.
Unofrtunately, my buddy with Netflix lives a real long way from where I'm currently "staying" now, so while I do intend to keep watching this series, it's going to be a bit of a slow pace.

soulsymphonycomic.com/It's now beyond 2 years and 200 pages old. There's a special related side project I'm doing with some other folks for it. I'll post that here when it's done. Other than that, I'll just chime back in when it's 3 years and 300 pages old.

I guess make that having reached page 400 and 4 and a half years old.
Obviously milestones don't matter in themselves, but I just wanted to say that this is a point I never could've dreamed I'd reach back when I was making comics on this place. But I'm exactly where I wanted to be.
Thank you all for being an inspiration.
