The assassin takes a route out of view, obviously not intending to come back any time soon.

Kayman looks behind him at the palace before transforming into a silhouette of light and fazing out of sight, returning to the trade shop to take over Mose's shift for the next couple hours.

Mira drummed her fingers against the desk while awaiting the old general's return the next morning, having decided upon setting out a warrant for the assassin though she already had an inkling of whom he may have been working for.

Work at the trade shop continues early the next morning, selling imported objects to whoever pays or trades their old items for. Though they were aware of what Kayman had done last night, none of them made a big deal about it, seeing as it was either interfere or risk having a ruler that would have them deported in the split second his butt hits the throne.
Having become aware of the situation surrounding the current ruler, Mose had agreed to help Kayman keep the palace safe while avoiding notification that their "heroes" were outsiders from another nation.

Everyone within the palace was tense and on guard, gazes slipping from shadow to shadow as they went about their business and patrols. Mira's brother Aidan had already stopped by to gloat on how she was now confined to that one room under close watch lest there be a second attempt, though it annoyed her greatly that she couldn't go about as she wished.

Mose and Kayman spent most of the day on the roof, monitoring the tense spirits flowing within the palace with the exception of one, who appears content in the ruler's lack of control over her subjects.
Kayman had half a mind to go straight to the palace and smack the guy upside the head to shut him up, but knows doing so would jeopardize the nation's chances of forming an alliance with outside nations.

Mira glanced up as the old general, Avery, walked into the room and gave her a respectful bow, "It was as you suspected. Lord Irvos did have a hand in it."
"I would not have suspected otherwise. The man is completely childish," Mira sighed, massaging her temples, "I'll have to keep a closer eye on him then."

After a while, Mose and Kayman left the shop and began wandering around the city, Mose heading back to the library to continue his study on the history and magic of the nation while Kayman stopped by some taverns and grocery markets to stock up on some food for Lila and Kru as they didn't want to abandon the shop for a lunch break.

Mira sighed, standing up from her chair abruptly, "I refuse to stay in this room like a coward when there is too much to be done."
"As you wish m'lady," Avery replied, though he disagreed with it.
Mira swept from the room, intending to see to the few treaties that had been sent in from the various provinces.

Kayman returns to the trade shop with a bag of take out and a bottle of milk, handing it to Lila and Kru who were starting to get a big peckish for some midday snacks. Once assured they were going to be okay, he heads to another floating land to begin exploring there for any form of entertainment to kill some time.

There are many things, from shops specifically built to host local games as well as parks and gardens set up for the children to play in or for the adults to stroll about it.

Kayman decided to check out the local game shops and see what they have to offer.

Most seemed to cater to intellect rather than luck with board games that are similar to that of a Japanese one called Go and reminiscent of Chess, they seeming to enjoy a good mental challenge more than slight of hand or chance.

Kayman didn't mind the mental stimulation. Being the second smartest next to Hajime and Hayato, he's always up for any challenge, even if it meant sitting down and loosening up. He stood a few feet from a game already in progress to observe how it's played.

The objective seemed to be to claim as much territory on the board as possible with markers, having to try and think ahead of the opponent and to be strategic in the placing of one's pieces.
