Yeah, GTO and Excel Saga are my favorite comedy anime. If I kept up on this topic more often, this would be more meaningful but meh. Anyway for those who don't know, GTO is short for "Great Teacher Onizuka" and is about a street gang leader deciding he wants to become a teacher so he can, and I quote, "Make lots of money and influence a lot of people." Which is what he put on his resume. Really funny shit, and uplifting at the same time.... not really.
Excel Saga cannot be explained, because it is so random. The premisce of the show is that its a "Quack expirimental anime" where the directors apparantly when making the manga into a Anime, they couldnt' decide what genre to put it in, so every episode is a different genre of anime, like one episode it would be a sappy romance, with gags and jokes, and another episode it'll be a horror, with gags and jokes. Another awesome part about this anime is that they try their best to push the limits of the censorship thing in japan, by doing really racy content, and blatant innuendo. In the last episode, for example, they had a giant moose robot, with an incredibly huge missile in the crotch area, and his name was "Big Buddy". There's also director insertion(much like author insertion), and a strange ghost side story that doesn't really make sense. And somehow in the end, it all ties together somehow to make all the storylines make sense, or at least go together.

Soo...what do you guys think is better? The actual, original manga? Or the TV version (there aren't TV versions of every manga, but meh...)?

Can`t really give an opinion, its damn nigh impossible grabbing manga around here, anime isn`t an issue thanks to the local game store that imports those wonderful series boxes and for good prices,I will say I prefer the anime versions though simply because its great seeing such artistic work in motion.
