"The people on that planet will still be alive when this is done, won't they?" Hayato asked. At this point, he found it useless to just tap into his psychic power as he was sure one of them may have thrown him off the path he had expected.

The man speaks up.
"What do you care for a planet of savages? Surely a cyber cleric of such good standing could see past this."

"As far as I'm concerned, a planet that has the intellegence of a human being is worth trying to perserve. That doesn't mean I'll weep whenever an innocent person is caught in the crossfire."

The matron smiles evilly.
"Your a terrible liar. Not that this matters."
She stands up and raises her palm facing it towards Hayato.
As she moves Hayato can see her clothing has two gems attached to the back of her hands. The gems are blood red.
"Ready to get to work Human?"

Hayato only frowns in reluctence.
"Do I have a choice?" he asked rhetorically.

"No."
Her hand glows red. Hayato is hit with a horrible feeling. It's as if his mind is torn asunder. Horrible images fill his mind. Images of death destruction and mutilation. Only then does he realize that they were bloodstones on the back of her hands and that she is doing to him what has happened to the people of planet Ares.

Hayato grunts loudly as he grabs his head and stumbles back. His cybernetic implants kept him from turning into a grotesque monster, but that was the least of his problems.
As if on instincts, his psychic powers kick in, trying to shove the control of the woman's bloodstones out of his head.

The powers fail. Something about this room seems to be blocking them.
The Matron smiles.
"You where right commodore. It does not work on him well."

Hayato begins stumbling towards the door, reaching out to try and pull them open.

The doors do not open. They are sealed shut.
"Does it hurt Lunarian? Do you wish me to stop?"

Hayato can barely speak as he struggles to keep his balance, locking his knees inward as he increases the sandwiching pressure of his hands on his head. But despite being in worlds of pain, he doesn't show signs of begging for mercy. It's as if he had been put through this kind of torture before.

The man looks over at her.
"That's enough. His friend should have sensed it by now."
She frowns.
"And I was just starting to have fun."
She lowers her palm and the pain stops.

Hayato collapses to his stomach with one arm tucked under his chest and the rest sprawled out to the side. He breathes laboringly as he struggles to recollect his sanity.

The matron walks down the steps and grabs the back of Hayatos head.
"You cyber clerics need to learn humility. I can do this to you again. Any time, any where. You and your friends have already started a war today. A war that will destroy the humans. You should be proud."
She lets his head drop to the floor.
"Take him to a cell."
Two guards converge on him.
"And keep the field on him. Don't want him using his powers again."

Hayato tried to use his teleportation device to take him back to his carrier, but was too weak from the pain to try and activate it. He reluctently stays on the floor and awaits his trek to the dungeon.
