Well, even though this isn't the best place to be basing my assumption, the Game faqs message boards the last time I checked(like... 2003) people signatures were all like "Smash Brothers Melee: Trophys 180/180" and shit like that.

Getting 180 was simple. It was simpler than getting Yu-Gi-Oh that were "rare." ....don't ask...

There were only 180? Dang. I got nearly all of them, but there were a few toughies, like Giga Bowser and Crazy Hand that I just couldn't get.

Scratch that. I didn't know those two existed, thus meaning, I don't have them. Nor have I beaten the Crazy Hand in the Event Matches, or even faced Giga Bowser before.

Me neither. I'm trying, but there are a few hard events that I can't seem to get past.

A few? I just can't beat the bottom 3-4.

I just made the number up, I forgot the real number. But the diskun trophy is the hardest, 'cause you have to get all bonus's like no R 4 u and so on. THe hard ones are like "Beat very hard mode with one life" and I can't do that, and I hang out with the second best smasher in the US.

Welll, guess that's another one I don't have.
The only levels I could beat with less than 3 lives was Easy and Medium. But, then again, who really played 1-player all that much once they had all the characters? I only play SSBM for multiplayer.

I got Diskun. He's weird, like, 2-D.
Okay, so I don't suck at SSBM... I'm not the only one who couldn't beat hard mode... Oh, and I beat all the events. In one of them, you gotta beat both Master Hand AND Crazy Hand at the same time. Link and Samus work pretty well. But the REAL last event... #51...That one was hard. I had to use Jigglypuff to beat it.

Jigglypuff? I thought that one was meant to be a joke.

Yeah, I can't beat Master Hand and Crazy Hand. Yoshi, Samus, and Link are all good choices. Really, the goal is to get a character who has a cotinues attack like Samu's B^, Link's B^, or Yoshi's A\/ when jumping, but also, you need a character you're good with.

Jigglypuff? I thought that one was meant to be a joke. Yeah, Jigglypuff is high tier, 'cause she can basically move around anywhere in the air, and combo you like 5 hits off the edge and come back before you do. In event 51, 'cause gigabowser is so big, all you have to do is rest him for an easy kill, and the ganon you just have to trick into killing himself by up b'ing off the edge, and Mewtwo is pretty hard, but much easier than having to fight him, gigabowser, and Ganon.

Wow... had no clue... Usually when I play as Jigglypuff, I get my ass kicked by Kogafan because he CONSTANTLY uses Fox and Falco! I hardly ever get a chance to even get NEAR him because of their speed attacks! Plus because of his speed, I never even get any items! He's always pissing me off with the starman, hammer, warpstar, etc.

You should try using Ganandorf, thats who i beat it with. I think I used his ^smash, but I'm not completely sure.

Heh, I beat event 51 without using the rest attack. I jumped into the air a lot of the time, using the rollout attack. Giga Bowser goes down first, then Ganondorf, then Mewtwo. When it comes down to it, you're really just fighting 3 level 3-5s, it's not as hard as it seems.
