WARNING! SPOILERS!
Last night, they rolled what is believed to be the final episode in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. But, the ending left so many unanswered questions.
What happened to Dante and Gluttony?
What happened to Envy after he passed through the Gate to kill his father (Who is also Ed's and Al's father)?
Will Ed and Al ever be reunited?
Will Mustang be accused of treason?
What happens to Ed and Al? Will they succed in their new quests?
The episode ended with Al getting his body back, but forgetting all his memories from the last four years. He tells his Teacher that he wants to learn more alchemy so he can bring back Ed.
Ed crossed the Gate, sacrificing all his experiences and memories from the last four years to give Al his human body back. However, Ed retained his original body and mind. He remembers everything where Al doesn't. He is living in Munich during 1921 with his father. Ed wants to produce a rocket that goes into space, but he doesn't have his alchemy. Both Ed and Al are riding trains, and look to the sky. They begin to recall the first rule of alchemy: Equivilent Exchange. Then, boom. Over.
Throughout the episode, they played credits, signalling that it was over. But it is hard to believe that it could just end, there were too many unanswered questions. What do you guys think?

If you payed attention to where Dante and Gluttony met for the last time, you get the idea that Gluttony ate Dante. But since Dante used alchemy during that, anything may have happened, but I just judged by the crumpled clothes on the floor, so I think at least one of them died.

I heard there was supposed to be a movie that ties in all those questions. I think Redwaters saw it at a Thunder Con convention.

Yeah, theres an FMA movie that came out in Japan that is supposed to be the last episode. Anime usually end in episode numbers of multiples of 26, because most anime are biweekly for one season(52 weeks in a year / 4 seasons in a year * 2 episodes a week = 26) FMA is 2 seasons long, so it should have 52 episodes, but it doesn't. It ends an episode early at 51, probably so the movie can be "episode 52". I'll try my best to not give out spoilers, but every question you asked, Gen, is answered, 'cept for Mustang, at least not really. When you first see him, he like exiled himself to a syberia type place, and they don't say much about it besides that, so I can't really draw a conclusion.

Was I not supposed to? Its not that complicated. I really didn't like the fact that I ended up rooting for the Nazi's cause they were the lesser of two evils.

Nope, good ol' fashioned subtitles, a wobbily camcorder, and Limewire was all it took to see it.

Silos, that is why I asked the question. Neither Dante's or Gluttony's fate was revealed after that incident in the elevator. They could have killed each other, or one was killed.

If you ask me, it looked more like Gluttony's clothes than Dante's. I only saw black there.

Good point. I didn't think of that. Great, now I have no idea any more.

The only exception would be Lust, but as you remember, she died as a human.
