Uuggh....Runescape. I don't like it. Gen made a pretty good comic expressing why people don't like it. And a lot of people on the internet hate it. But then there is the other half. The wretched mindless zombie Runescape fans.
The only online RPG related thing I hate more than monthly fees and Runescape itself are the Runescape fans. They're crazy, they're mindless, they're loyal, and they're stubborn, for the most part. For some reason, I find this similar about most of them:
-they seem to hate all other online RPGs (or deny they like them) besides Runescape. They continuesly say how Runescape is "better." -they're obsessed with it. Play all day obsessed. -they usually ignore it when you tell them "Why don't you just play WoW if you're gonna pay monthly!?" and "You can't do anything without being a member!" -None of them mind spending 5 bucks a month on a bad game. Apparently, alittle more money on a really good game like Everquest never passes there mind...
This mostly applies to all the kids in my school who are obsessed. I'll add more, but I have to go now.

My friend Jordan is obsessed. He saw me playing FF11 and asked me how I could stand such a lame game.

One of my friends is. I mean, the graphics are abysmal enough, but the game itself is horrible. It takes the fun stuff of RPGs, puts it into a concentration camp, gases it, then burns the body. What you have left is mindless leveling up and watching your character miss the giant rat that is sitting right in front of it.

I know.Turn based battle is cool, and real time is cool...but Runescape delivers some sort of wanna-be in between. It's like turn based with no strategy. Just watch your guy get his ass kicked. You can't even help him!
Practically my whole grade is obsessed, and most of them are members. One of them (Cutter, you would know him as "T") got really pissed when I said Wizet and Softnyx were better than Jagex.
"How many good games does Jagex have?" I asked.
"Errr.....A LOT!" he replied.
Idiot....

Did you read what I said on Life Bytes about Runescape? Those fucks scammed me. Here is what I said:
"My brother signed my and my other brothers for a Membership to Runescape, since we practically beat it. It is the most generic, and boring game known to man, and is so time-consuming, it is ridiculous. I would send them e-mails filled with my God-given gift of Irish rage, but I am too obsessed with Oblivion to even work on my comics, let alone rant thoroughly!"
I thank God everyday for giving me the chance to buy Oblivion. If I never got it, I would still be playing that excuse for game called 'Runescape'.

No, it is a single player game. It would be cool if it was an MMORPG... But it already gives me headaches as it is, I don't need Runescape flunkies coming to Oblivion to piss the ever loving fuck outta me.

Assholes that like to brain rape people into giving them money for their shitty game.
God damn Runescape is annoying. You needed levels for everything and anything. You needed a Lv 40 something TO BURN OAK!!! Anyone could easily overlook the bad graphics if the gameplay was good, but that sucked to. It's like seeing a gold watch fall into a trash can then you dive in only to find out it was a cruddy gold wrapper.

Doesn't that mean you get a chance to tour Wonka factory?
Yeah, I know. And they levels for what you can mine, what you can smelt, what you can smith, and what you can wield, are all different! It's like they're trying to screw with you! And not only do you need high levels to play the game to its fullest, you practically need to be a member if you want to do anything. The whole game is basically members-only! Members only get like 7 missions, can only fish, cook, and craft very few things, and members have so many more features/skills that the non-members can't even use, despite their level!
