Not be smarter? Even watch the video that started this thread! The guy explains how hi-tech the UFOs must be to have gotten to this galaxy, and just the mere fact they built such space ships means they are far more advanced.
According to Discovery Channel, we humans are still attempting to make blueprints for a Space Elevator. Scientists recently discovered a new formation of hydrogen atoms that creates a very light, but strong material, that could be used as a cable. The elevator would be used to transport supplies and astronauts to the moon, where we would connect it.
So, as you can see, we're still stuck on making an elevator to the moon. The aliens are probably mocking our stupidity right now...

An elevator. To the moon. With the atmosphere right there.

...Maybe if they found a way to make adamentium it might work. But then, it's have to be air tight, unless they'll be wearing their suits in it, which is probable. But it would take a lot of materials and is it really all that wise to have an elevator connected to the moon which would kind of stop it's axis around the earth...Uh, wouldn't that kinda cause more harm then good?

I remember that in this one comic strip I read, there's these two guys who always try to get to the moon(And produce hilarious results) and they tried building a space elevator.

Very true...
They didn't actually say they were going to connect it to the moon. They said that was a possibly/option. They'll probably connect it to a sattelite or space station. But yeah, I wonder what they'll do about the whole axis issue..

If they connect it to the moon...I wanna switch planets before more harm comes from the idiocies of some of the human species.

Meh. If I guess correctly, if they attached it to the moon, nothing bad would really happen. Wouldn't the cable just break when the Earth rotates?

But the moon revolves around the Earth... Just not as fast?
Oh wait, the moon rotates, too!

The moon does not rotate. Thats why the moon always looks the same.

Besides, scientifically, the moon can't rotate. I believe the moon is far too close to the Earth, so the Earth's gravitational pull keeps it from rotating. If it were to rotate, I am sure it would royally screw up the balance of life on Earth. Movement is a very, very important factor in space.

Well, you see, Kyle, large objects in space have their own gravitational pull. Kind of like the ripples on a fat man's belly when you slap it. Now you are probably thinking, "But Gen, those things don't have anything to do with each other!"
Well then I ask you, do they, Kyle? Do they lather you in an miasma of sapping thoughts and flabbergastery?
Butter, Kyle? Butter?
